UniStyle: Man Skirt, ANU

This is not a Man Skirt.
I need to see more men wearing skirts. This, however, is not a skirt, per se. It has a real name and it is from Ghana...I think, I really should take notes.
What I do know is that it is mad sexy and seemed really excellent to wear on this freakin' hot day.

In Action!
Lady Drummer, you are all burning up in the sun back there.

UniStyle: You'd Make Pretty Babies...just sayin', ANU

Now Lachlan here, and I do not agree on most things but we can agree that avocado is an excellent colour for a sweater. And also that he has an premium hair-cut.
And we can both agree that Bojana is pretty adorable.

UniStyle: The Clowns Weren't Giving Their Donuts to Me and They Weren't Funny, ANU

We have not mentioned that delicious Sophiatron is back in Canberra after half a year in Manchester (that is in England), and she is mulling around doing photos for CapSty. It is sooo good.

I often wonder whether to go to uni in all-black or in nefarious clown colours.
 It is a difficult choice.

UniStyle: Fascists and Lesbians, ANU

OK WE'RE BACK ON. Are you with us? Try to keep up.

To anyone who came to speed dating in Bush Week, hope you had fun! To anyone who didn't, you missed out - we all had sex, it was great.

Hey Now, can we talk about this?

Ignore his ugg-boots, he live on campus. What I'm talking about is the half-shaving.

Now my Dad once said,"I don't understand why anyone would what to shave their hair unless they were a fascist...or a lesbian." My father is a deeply confused man, especially now this hair-cut is now heavily represented by all sorts of folk.

My love for this cut is strongest when the long hair on top is doing something nutty - like curls or crazy frizz. At the time of this photo, Young Sam hadn't washed his hair in 6 weeks. He is trying to revert it back to a self-cleaning state. There is nothing about this experiment that I don't like.

UniStyle: Matchy-matchy, ANU

I get bold-coloured coats. You know the primary colours (Blue! Red! Yellllow!) that the hip kids are wearing. I prefer dark hues (i.e. only colours batman would wear) but I get the appeal here. I like them best when they are matched with other bright colours. And if you're lucky enough to have two pieces that are both Orange! You are honour-bound to match that.

Update Your Calender

Has is been almost a month already? Low postage recently due to being students and being hated by the universe. Did you know Topshop online has a big-ish sale? I wish I did not know this. I've already bought a coat. I want these shoes:
I don't know why. I am addicted to hideous shoes I guess.

BACK TRACK: the newest HEARTBEAT night is this Saturday at the Transit Bar. Last month the Party By Jake folks featured clothes by Eleventh Commandment, which was a'ight. The shirts were mainly their older styles (i.e. stuff they wanted to get rid of), which I didn't like as much as their newer prints. But they looked good on:

Anywho. The featured label this month is MOCAN, some kind of skating brand who I want to look up but cannot due to their low-level internet presence (empty etsy, coy 'inspiration' blog). If you're curious head to HEARTBEAT this weekend. It is free and the tunes are super banging.

Poms, Union Court

I might be somewhat biased because I've spent the last week living with both these gentlemen...

...and I bought these shoes...but I think they look pretty cool.

Magst du Tom?

Tom's coming to speed dating. Ladies? Laaaadies??

Love me these German military issue coats (although highly inappropriate for this weather). They are nothing special in Germany but it's nice to see someone haul one all the way back here.

Regular Joes, Civic

How do I feel about over-grown fringes?

I'm for 'em! I rocked this exact look hard in my post-emo phase.

UniStyle: Pretty Sunny, ANU

These photos were taken on a beautiful day that was worthy of sunglasses. Even if you only got them from that creepy hat stand/shop/area in the Canberra Centre like the guy at the top did.

Also, do you own Raybans? everyone has Raybans. I do not have Raybans...yet.

UniStyle: Oh Well, Maybe Next Year?, ANU

I feel like a bunch of guys would have liked to look a bit like this, this winter. Cool and warm.

Civic: Young Casual Folks

Scouting in Civic proved itself to be a hit of a hit-and-miss experience. After 1 hour in the frustrated cold, we got 3 fabulous shots (and a fan meeting) all in the span of about 10 minutes. I've already showed you the hat couple, now here are the rest of the shots!

What is it about bright sweaters in winter that make us so happy? I'm going to knit myself a sweater next winter and wear it with pride.
I think this American Apparel hoodie may be my favourite AA item (apart from their two-tone tights and cape). Also, Vicki and I both totally had a crush on this guy.

Thanks for all the comments and emails people, keep them coming!
